Chism's double-double lands him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

36-year old USA-BHRn power forward Wayne Chism (206-PF-1987) had an amazing evening in the last round for Al Salam and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 21.
He had a double-double of 24 points and 27 rebounds, while his team beat Al Taawoun (#12, 0-20), the league's bottom-ranked team 84-78. Al Salam maintains the 8th position in Saudi Arabian league. Al Salam is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 8-12 record. In the team's last game Chism had a remarkable 63.6% from 2-point range and got three three-pointers out of 6 attempts. He turned to be Al Salam's top player in his first season with the team. University of Tennessee graduate has very impressive stats this year. Chism is in league's top in points (9th best: 20.7ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 15.8rpg) and averages solid 1.1bpg and 54.2% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Deng Deng (203-F-1992) of Ohod Medina. He is South Sudanese-Australian forward in his first season at Ohod. In the last game Deng recorded an impressive double-double of 35 points and 16 rebounds. Of course he led Ohod to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Al Safa (#10, 6-14) 101-77. Ohod's 5th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 13-7 record is not bad and everything may still change. Deng is a newcomer at Ohod and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Anthony Fairley (203-F-1999) of Al Fateh Al Hasa (#6). Fairley showcased his all-around game by recording 24 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Al Fateh, leading his team to a 115-79 easy win against the lower-ranked Deba (#11, 2-18). Al Fateh needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 10 victories and 10 lost games. Fairley has a great season in Saudi Arabia. After 20 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 8.9rpg (9th best).
